About the Course

Are you a wannabe startup founder who has never been an entrepreneur before or who ahs just taken a plunge and are confused and worried about:

  • Whether the idea is good enough
  • Not knowing where to start
  • Not confident if I can do it
  • Zero experience as an entrepreneur
  • Not sure if I need to do an MBA to be an entrepreneur
  • Not knowing which idea to work on
If answer to any of the questions above is yes, then this course is for you. The course will help you learn taking a series of small, manageable steps, so you can get started on your startup project.

Why is starting up hard when you have zero entrepreneurial experience?

  • You don’t know what I’m doing and if it is a right thing for you.
  • You can’t make it work financially. Like anyone with bills to pay, student debts to keep up with, or other expenses, anyone would feel nervous about the prospect of possibly adding to financial commitments.
  • You fear to fail. Putting yourself out there is stressful, especially when you have many folks watching you.
  • You don’t want to waste your time.
  • You feel your idea isn’t unique enough.
  • You are not confident if there is a market for what you want to do.
  • You don’t know how to start. If you’re a wannabe entrepreneur, especially one with little or no business experience, even the first step of launching your startup project can feel like a giant leap.
  • You have a fear of unknown and you feel less than confident that you can do it.
  • You haven’t felt that you have done enough reading on entrepreneurship and that you are not yet ready.

How will this course help you?

There is a difference between having information and having a knowledge. You can google information or look for it in books, but you cannot google a knowledge. Having knowledge, understanding some stuff happens when you use information to change the way you think.

Discussion forums and local meet ups provide some value but they do have limitations, if you need hand holding.
Your own trial and error method, would possibly take you there, but it might take much longer and you are not sure if you are doing it right.

This course provides you information, helps you gain understanding in the context your customised situation, and provides an option of hand holding when you need. Besides, use of proven methods, efficient tools would just ensure you reach your goals sooner than you want.

What outcomes can you expect?

Some of the possible outcomes for your startup project, as a result of this course are :
  • Discover opportunities that might work
  • Minimise wasteful efforts
  • Validation of problem
  • Taking concrete steps towards launching your startup project

Shashank Rajurkar

Presently, I am involved in entrepreneurship training, mentoring and startup consulting.

My prior work involved a stint in an early venture fund and launching and building two businesses.

My current focus area is - early stage starups, early traction, lean business model, value proposition, investors deck, business plan, product-market fit, minimum viable product (MVP), strategy, growth, lean business model validation process and more.

My core strength is about experimenting.

Many individuals and teams struggle to move from ideas to projects (or startups), at the right time. Sometimes ideas remain ideas for way too long. At other times they become projects (or startups) prematurely, without validation. Running experiments is the missing step. It’s a distinct unit or phase of work.

Running the right experiments is hard and this is where I bring in value.
